9:30 a.m. Sunday School & 10:30 a.m. Worship Service 

Welcome to Celebration Place Church. We are so glad you chose to join us in this time of worship. Our hope is that you feel His Spirit at work and enjoy what God has to share with us here in His house. 

Sunday School/Children’s News: 

  • The Infant – 2Y nursery has a new location it will now be located in the first classroom to the left. (Teacher:  Cathy Bowers)
  • The 3Y – 2nd Grade Sunday School classes will meet in the  library (Teacher:  Jennifer Davis)
  • The 3rd – 5th grade Sunday School classes will meet in the second classroom on the left, down the hall from the cafeteria (Teacher:  Brantlee Correll)
  • The 6th – 8th Grade (Junior High) Sunday School class will meet (Teacher:  Terry Kampa)
  • The 9th Grade & Up Sunday School classes will meet in the gymnasium (Teacher:  Michelle Hayes)
  • Pastor Hayes’ Sunday School will meet in the central classroom in the library wing. 
  • The children will be dismissed following the morning fellowship time for Children’s Church.
 

    Upcoming Events: 

  • YOUTH – Youth group every Wednesday night @ 7:00 @ Brian & Ashley’s; unless told otherwise.
  • Wednesday, September 8th – Board Meeting @ 7:00 p.m. at the school.
  • Sunday, September 12th – Tim & Jen’s high school group will meet.  All new 9th graders are invited to join us!
  • Saturday, September 18th - 3:00 – 8:00 – Ages 13 and up; $5 admission charge; Youth Bash @ First Wesleyan Church in York, SC.  Please see flyer on the welcome table for more details.
  • Can Collection – we will begin collecting aluminum cans this time to benefit the Women’s Ministry.  Please be sure the cans are empty and free of trash!!
  • NOTE: Children’s Church and Toddler Church will be combined for the summer. (3& 4 yr olds will be included with the K5 - 5th grades); Any child older than 5th Grade, unless asked to work as an assistant, should be in the main service. Thank you all and if any questions see Michelle or Cathy
  • Nursery Ages – Please Note - Nursery is Birth – 2 yrs. of age; Toddler Church 3-5 yrs & Children’s Church is 5 yrs. – 5th grades. Our nursery room is small; the age groups need to fall

    into these categories.  Please make sure you come to the nursery on time to pick up your children!!  Thanks!!

  • Updates to prayer list – Please look over the prayer list and provide updates to Amy Scott.  If you would, please send any updates to her via e-mail (fourscotts@comporium.net).
  • Nursery Workers for September - Today –  Nursery Room (Infant – 2 years old):  Jeff & Cindy Varalli; Next Week – Andrea Oliver & Amy Scott
  • Monthly Church Budget Update.  As the month progresses, we will show how much of the need has been met by tithes and offerings.

Prayer Requests: 

  • Nikki Correll’s sister Sandy found out she has colon cancer; surgery was a success; waiting to find out whether she will need chemo or not
  • Roger & Cathy Cordell – losing their home; Mrs. Charlotte is in WV helping them for the next few weeks.
  • Justin Bailey – Mrs. Charlotte’s nephew – facing eye surgery – blind in one eye.
  • Robby Davis – Problems with heart rate
  • Betty Wisher – Friend of Cathy Bowers’ – she has tongue cancer and had surgery this past week.
  • Chelsey Mossburg –please pray for the family as they learn all of the details on taking care of her at home. What a miracle!
  • Kim Smith – Friend of Amy Scott – chemotherapy has been very difficult.
  • Brian & Ashley – as they lead the youth of our church
  • Joyce Deese – Mike Deese’s step mother – just diagnosed with Lymphoma
  • Jerry Scott – At home recovering from kidney transplant (Patrick’s Uncle).
  • Don Varalli (Jeff Varalli’s dad) – Ongoing chemotherapy for recurrent cancer
  • Karen Davis - Robby Davis’ Mother
  • Wylie Montgomery
  • Doug Stacy – Lung cancer
  • Mrs. Lois Thompson – Travis Canty’s Grandmother
  • Bobby Thompson – (Terri Snipes; brother-in-law; cancer)
  • Please continue to pray for our church building project, and  for the steps we take to develop our property and begin our building plans.
  • Please continue to pray for our pastor and church leaders in this important time in our church.
  • Please continue to lift up our government leaders in prayer, for Godly wisdom and guidance.  Pray also for our military and their families.
  • Be in prayer for our financial needs.  With this building project & our regular operating expenses, please pray that God will provide the financial support needed.  Please pray that God will help keep us faithful in our tithes & offerings.  Your browser may not support display of this image.
